Karmel is a final-year undergraduate student of English & History at Carlow College, St. Patrick's (Ireland). Her primary areas of interest include Classic and Contemporary Horror Fiction, Folk-Horror and Queer Gothic Narratives. She has just completed her final-year capstone project on the early filmic horror works of Clive Barker, and will take up a place on the MA Gothic Studies programme at Manchester Metropolitan University in September 2021.
