My name is Amelie Florence, and I'm a book addict. ;P

I'm also a plant lady, dog mama, and writer of stories & poems & other stuff.

I'm a reader of all genres from poetry (my first love) to classics, but I'm primarily drawn to contemporary literary fiction and nonfiction. My favorite book of all time is The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, and my favorite books read this year so far are probably The Goldfinch by Donna Tart and Bluets by Maggie Nelson.

Our first two books were The Incendiaries by R.O. Kwan for October, and Putney by Sofka Zinovieff for November. We host monthly read-alongs on Instagram, and would like to begin using this space as a second means of discussing our monthly picks for those who would like to read at their own pace, dig a little deeper, or continue the discussion after the end of each month. We plan to post weekly discussion topics as a jumping-off point for these chats. We'd love for you to join us!
